As the conference takes place during a high tourist season, we recommend that you book your accomodation as soon as you can. There are many options near the venue (1051 Budapest, 15 Nádor str.), but most of them are fairly expensive (though prices change by the day).
We can recommend the following options:
It is ca. 10 minute walk from the venue. We have received the following discount prices for conference participants:

Rooms can be cancelled latest until 24 hours prior to arrival day. Credit card guarantee is needed when reserving the rooms. In case of no show, total amount of booked costs will be charged as penalty. Hotel guests in Hungary have to pay a 550 Ft/person/night (ca. 1,5 EUR) tax, which is not included in the price.
A new hotel has opened recently in the close vicinity of the conference venue. Although we were not offered a special discount for the conference participants, for the time being they seem to operate with attractive prices, at least for the city centre. You may check it here.
A low-budget option:
CEU Conference and Residence Centre

The residence centre is out of the city centre, ca. 40 min from the conference venue by public transport, and it offers simple but clean and comfortable rooms.
The special offer for the Utopian Studies conference participants is valid for standard double hotel rooms. The price for the double room is 52 EUR/room/night. The room is equipped with twin beds, and the price is the same whether the room is used by one or two persons (should you wish to share the room with another conference participant, contact the conference organisers at usse2024@ceu.edu, they try to help).
